This
Post Card was sent by a Patient at the St. Eleanora's Home
in 1934. By this time the Home was a general sanitarium serving both
sexes.

Text: "Dear Sis, Here
is another card for your scrap book. Hope you like it. Swell weather
up here. I'll be home Mon or Wednesday, so answer soon. Brother
Mike"
The line "Swell weather up
here", which certainly seems amusing to us at this point in
time, underscores a remote, undeveloped, wilderness quality
Crestwood still had in 1934 - At least, to this fellow from the
Bronx! |
